Devra Kelly’s career spans 25+ years as a security communications professional. Her work includes partnerships with the Department Homeland Security, FEMA, state and local law enforcement and first responders, and dozens of schools across the country to help these organizations prepare for everyday emergencies and worst-case scenarios. Prior to entering the security industry, Devra was a teacher in Alaska and Montana. She is a proud mother to two adult sons, who attended public schools in Boulder County, Colorado.
Magen Davis served as Texas PTA's Director of Events & Programs. She completed her bachelor and master's degrees at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she studied public relations, journalism, and history.
Kathleen was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Almost 5 years ago, Kathleen, her husband of 22 years, and their daughter moved to Texas. Prior to coming to Texas, Kathleen served on numerous non-profit boards and worked in finance. She currently serves as President of the Leander ISD Council of PTAs (2019-2020) and also at her daughter’s middle school PTSA. Kathleen believes everyone has a unique gift to offer when it comes to advocacy.
Cheryl Huxford is a native Texan, though growing up, the military took her family all over the country and the world. Luckily, she ended back where she belongs and currently lives in Georgetown with her husband and four children. While not chasing her twin toddlers around, she can be found either in her kitchen or volunteering with the PTA at her sons' elementary school. Muhammad Ikram is a student from Richardson High School in Richardson ISD and a member of the inaugural class of Texas PTA's YES! program for young civic leaders.
Carrie Zamora has been in the health/nutrition coaching and consulting industry for 10 years and she is the co-founder and Director of Wellness Programs at UpLevel Healthy Lifestyles LLC. Her community leadership includes Allen ISD School Health Advisory Council (Chair), Texas School Health Advisory Council (member), and Allen ISD Council of PTAs.
Payal Pandit Talati, MPH is a Program Director for MD Anderson’s Cancer Prevention & Control Platform. She has over 15 years of experience developing, implementing, and evaluating public health programs focused at the local, state, and national levels. Payal is co-developer of the Sunbeatables® Program and has served as a key contributor for MD Anderson’s youth education initiatives.
Sheri Doss serves as State President of Texas PTA and is the first African American President in the association's 110-year history. Originally from California, Sheri now lives in San Antonio and has worked in the tech industry.
